FEATURES
The new HG-4 Honing Guide has been widened to accept irons up to 70mm (2.75″) in width which accepts most available irons and chisels.
The pivoting clamping bridle will accommodate aggressively tapered tools, such as Japanese chisels. Move the clamping bridge forward to more readily accept spokeshave irons.
Quickly fine tune the blade angle or micro bevel with the rear adjustment knob. One revolution of the knob adjusts the blade angle just under 1 degree.
Ensure the squareness of the cutting edge with the built-in sliding T-square.
A hard stop on the lead screw prevents crashing the brass roller into the lead screw.
Using the set up gauge for consistent angles at 20°, 25°, 30°and 35°, three of the fixed references have cutouts to eliminate interference with the clamping pad.

The Bridge City HG-4 Honing Guide is one of the most precise and easily adjustable Honing Guides on the market. Simply square the edge of the plane iron or chisel with the sliding “T-Square”, extend the iron and tighten the clamp knob. You are now ready to precisely set the honing angle using the unique angle gauge and the micro adjustment knob.
